Created from the private collection of J.D. Forney, a local business man who made his fortune in the soldering and welding industry, the Forney Museum of Transportation has over 500 exhibits focusing on wheeled transportation from bicycles to cars to trains. Some of the items on display include Ameilia Earhart's "Gold Bug" Kissel and the Big Boy steam locomotive. Interspersed throughout the museum are wax figures dressed in antique clothing collected over the years by Forney's wife. Situated in the industrial and manufacturing area of Denver, the museum is across the street from the Denver Coliseum.

Open Mon. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Closed Sun.

Admission Details:

Adults $7; Seniors $6; Youth (11-15) $4.50; Children (5-10) $3.50; Children under 5 are free.
