PRESENTED BY
Michele Mosko Fine Art

Spanish-born Guerrero spent two years as a working architect before devoting himself to creating art full-time and his approach to painting does not differ far from his previous approach to architectural design. He breaks down the subject matter of each canvas to its basic and fundamental element, often elevating the object to a monumental scale. This show comprised of over twenty canvas focuses on interiors and the everyday landscapes of Guerrero's New York life, including simplistic images of a table, chair or doorway. His subject matter of interiors may be matter-of-fact, but his sensual palette and surface are filled with emotion and brilliant color.

Michele Mosko Fine Art, located at 136 West 12th Avenue, opposite the new wing of the Denver Art Museum, continues Ms. Mosko's career as an art dealer for over fifteen years.

Though a Denver native, Ms. Mosko's first business was born in New York in the heart of SoHo. There, she curated shows around her inventory of contemporary master prints as well as placing artworks in private, corporate, and museum collections. Throughout her career, Mosko has been a valuable resource to her individual clients, working with them to acquire or de-access works of art specific to their personal collection and taste. Five years spent as a curator for the impressive collection of photography from the archives of LIFE Magazine has added to her knowledge and expertise.

The advent of cultural growth, and her love for the city of Denver prompted Michele Mosko Fine Art to be 'born again' as she returns to the town where she grew up and her passion for art was initiated. Ms. Mosko's involvement began as a child, working at her father's gallery, Galerie des Beaux Arts. There she had the opportunity to meet and learn from numerous international painters and sculptors as well as assist her father in the gallery exhibitions.

Contemporary master prints, photography and sculpture are the core inventory at Michele Mosko Fine Art. Much of the gallery's offerings mirror the impressive collection of contemporary art acquired by the Denver Art Museum with master works by artists such as Christo, Jim Dine, Betty Woodman, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Howard Hodgkin and Sol LeWitt, all available for sale.

Additional artworks by mid-career artists such as Geer Morton, Michael Rubin, Jackie Battenfield, Oded Halahmy, Edward Lentsch, Arturo Guerrero and Earl Schofield (previously represented by Mosko in her New York gallery) will be included in her offerings. Photography by Bob Kolbrener, Amalie R. Rothschild, and Carl Corey will be exhibited as well.
